On Monday, Lech’s players resume training sessions, however, two of the squad members will be missing - Filip Dagerstål who is recovering from medical treatment, and Ali Gholizadeh who has joined the Iranian National Team for the AFC Asian Cup. Meanwhile, Adriel Ba Loua will finally return to the squad after suffering a shoulder injury.
On Friday, Gholizadeh appeared in Iran’s friendly clash – the last one before the team faces Palestine in their first match of the 2023 AFC Asian Cup, on January 14th. In the tournament's group phase, Iran will also play against Hong Kong (January 19th) and the United Arab Emirates (January 23rd). “We are in contact with Ali and we have established a detailed plan regarding his return to Poznań after the AFC Asian Cup,” said Lech’s coach, Mariusz Rumak. Filip Dagerstål will be missing during the first training session after the holiday. The centre-back has been unavailable since the October clash with Cracovia and has recently undergone a treatment. “On January 11th, Filip will return to Poznań and see a doctor. Once we know more, we will decide whether he will fly to Turkey for the training camp or stay in Poland to work with the physiotherapists,” explained coach Rumak.
Meanwhile, on Monday Adriel Ba Loua will rejoin the squad after a shoulder injury that he suffered at the beginning of December, in the clash with Korona Kielce. The winger has been recovering well and he will soon resume normal training sessions.
