Volleyball instead of football

On Sunday Lech's training staff organized a beach volleyball session instead of a football practice. "For a moment we felt like on holidays," said Dawid Kownacki.
The footballers and the staff members were divided into 4 teams, each consisting of 6 players. Each of the teams had 3 matches (10 points maximum) to play. Kownacki's group turned out to be the best one.
"The last game we played in this mini-tournament was against a group that won both previous matches. We won and drew a match and thus a win would mean a triumph. The final score was 10:3 for us," explained Lech's forward.
The 19 year-old admitted that he enjoys volleyball a lot. "Especially when the weather is as good," said the youngster. "Whenever there is an opportunity and time, I am eager to play. I prefer to play inside since the hard surface makes it easier to jump. However, there are cons and pros, for instance sand allows you to fall without consequences."
The "yellow" team consisted of Kownacki, Dudka, Kedziora, Skrzypczak, Tetteh and Formella. "I want to emphasize the commitment of all the players. Both, the defense and the offense worked hard. The collective was our main strength," highlighted Kownacki.
