Review of the 5th round of T-Mobile Ekstraklasa

Summer has been a time of rebuilding the team from Cracow. Franciszek Smuda has been signed as the new coach of the White Star after a bad period with both the National Team, and the second-league Regensburg. No one expected miracles from Wisła but the last 5 rounds make you think. The team from Cracow hasnt lost yet and last Sunday against Lech, according to the journalists, played the best match in the last few years. The White Star won with Kolejorz 2:0 and probably if their efficiency would be higher, the goal advance would be bigger.

In minus

Zagłębie Lubin is still disappointing. Despite a few good signings this summer, there are no effects visible. Aleksander Kwiek and Łukasz Piątek have been the stars in their previous team and now playing for Zagłębie they seem to have forgotten how to play football. New coach hasnt changed much either. Adam Buczek has been managing the team from Lubin in the last four matches where his players havent scored a single goal. In the three of those four games they havent lost a goal either, but in the game with Cracovia in the effect of a mistake of the goalkeeper, Zagłębie lost 0:1.

The match of the round

The most exciting game watched the fans in Białystok. In the first half, the Japanese players were the ones shining. The goals of Takuyi Murayama and Takafumi Akahoshi secured the lead for Pogonia. However, the hosts didnt plan on giving up. The own goal of Michał Koja and the accidental goal of Dani Quintana led to a draw. The fans were hoping that their team would score a winning goal which indeed happened. Unfortunately for the fans from  Białystok, Michał Pazdan in the 83rd minute scored but on the wrong goal and it was the team from Szczecin that took home all the three points.
