Lech’s midfielder Juliusz Letniowski will spend the upcoming season on loan in Arka Gdynia. “We are hoping that regular appearances will help Juliusz progress as a player,” said the first-team coach, Dariusz Żuraw.
Letniowski started his adventure with football at Lechia Gdańsk, a club that he joined at the age of 5. The offensive midfielder also had the opportunity to play for Bałtyk Gdynia and Bytovia Bytów. “We know that Letniowski has incredible potential. We are hoping that regular appearances will help Juliusz progress as a player and that whenever he returns, he will play a key role in the team and dominate as a no. 10,” explained Dariusz Żuraw.
Letniowski has so far played in 6 games for the senior team and got one assist. The 22-year-old also appeared in 15 B-team matches during which he found the back of the net 5 times and assisted his teammates 3 times.
“Injuries have stopped Juliusz from showing his true potential. Therefore, we have decided together that what he really needs right now is to get regular minutes, hence the loan. Arka is a great place for a young player to progress. We are hoping that after spending one season in the lower tier, Letniowski will come back determined, win a spot in the starting line-up and show what he’s capable of,” added Lech’s coach.
