Next month, the qualifications for the Europa Conference League will begin. In the 2nd qualifying round, Lech is going to face FK Kauno Žalgiris. The first leg will be played at Bułgarska Street.
Last season’s quarterfinalists will again have a chance to compete in the Europa Conference League. On Wednesday afternoon, a draw for the second qualifying round took place. Bohemians 1905 Prague, Kalmar FF, FK Kauno Žalgiris, Zalaegerszegi TE FC and FK Auda were Lech’s potential rivals. Ultimately, the draw revealed that the Polish side would face the Lithuanian club.
FK Kauno Žalgiris is last season’s Vice-Champion of Lithuania. In the current campaign (the Lithuanian league runs from spring to autumn), FK Kauno Žalgiris is ranked 4th in the table, 19 points behind the leader.
The two matches between Lech and the Lithuanian side are scheduled for July 27th and August 3rd. The first leg will be played at Bułgarska Street, and then the following week the two sides will meet at Darius and Girėnas Stadium.
