Surprisingly is was Termalica that created the first goal-scoring opportunity. As early as in the 2nd minute Biskups massive shot caused some problems to Buric, but luckily for the hosts, the ball did not fall into the back of the net. The fans had to wait to see Lech built its first good offensive actions, but at the first attempt the team from Poznan already managed to score. Linetty and Pawlowski led an individual play which the latter finished off with a shot past the goalkeeper and into the net.
Shortly afterwards Lech had to move back into the defense and the momentary lack of caution could have ended badly for the hosts. Kedziora was the one who attempted to surprise Lech's goalkeeper and he actually managed, but the ball bounced off the post. In the 18th minute the team from Poznan had a chance to change the score again when Bille recovered the ball and passed the goalkeeper. However, Lech's new player lost his balance and failed to get to the ball before Stano did. A few minutes later Pawlowski caused some trouble to Termalicas defense again, but this time Pilarz successfully intervened.
Lech's domination was indisputable and the hosts even managed to score the second goal before halftime. Once again Linetty was the one who assisted, but this time his pass was directed at Bille who, left one-against-one with the pilarz left the goalkeeper helpless. However, Lech's joy lasted short since a minute later Termalica scored a goal too. Jarecki was the one who took advantage over the defenders lack of attention and got a goal shortly before the teams left for halftime.
Termalika was determined to equalize and they managed to do so in the 49th minute when Biskup played a great pass to Kedziora and the latter placed the ball in the back of the net. Nonetheless, it did not take Lech long to score either. In the 57th minute Linetty showed his brilliance yet again and sent a pass to Pawlowski that led to the third goal.
Having conceded a goal, Madrysz's team began pressing again. However, this time the guests found creating goal-scoring opportunities more difficult. Lech seemed to have problems to surprise the defenders too since the players from Poznan lacked precision.
Still the team from Nieciecza did not give up and seemed very eager to win at least a point. Plizga's shot were problematic to the goalkeeper and if it wasn't for the defenders' skills and a bit of luck, the score might have changed.
Eventually the team that scored was Lech, and not once, but twice. In the 88th minute Jevtic was fouled in the penalty area and Kownacki converted the penalty kick into a goal. A few minutes later the same player sent a great, technical shot into the back of the net, setting the result to 5:2.
