The past 12 months weren't easy for the Swiss player. 3 injuries stopped the footballer from playing in majority of matches. Nevertheless, Jevtic looks back at the past year with a smile on his face.
About a year ago Jevtic aroused big interest in the world of media. All of it was caused by a possible return to FC Basel. The Swiss Champion lent the player to Lech and no one was sure whether Jevtic would represent the club from Poznan in spring. "This year began well because I signed a contract with Lech and it gave me a lot of optimism. However, soon after I got injured," admitted the 22 year-old footballer.
In the match against Pogon Szczecin Jevtic injured his back. The pain excluded him from the play for a few weeks and the player returned back only at the end of the season. "I recall the return well. I played a good match against Legia and I even scored a goal. I helped the team win the championship which means a lot to me," explained the player. "It's a great feeling to join a team and win in the very first season. Nonetheless, I no longer think about it because it's a new season now and we have to fight to win again. We have climbed up the league rank and now everything is possible," added Jevtic.
The current season is no easier for the Swiss footballer. Before the league began, the player underwent a treatment of the groin and it took him a month to return, just when Lech faced FC Basel. However, soon afterwards the player suffered an ankle injury that seemed severe at the first glance. "I have lost a lot due to the injuries, especially that last year I played in nearly every single match. A lot of time was lost on getting back to form, but I am optimistic about the future," emphasized Jevtic, adding that he believes Lech can win the championship. "The kick-off of the season was bad. 2 months ago no one even mentioned the championship and even now it is too early to discuss it, but I believe we can make it because he have a great team," concluded the Swiss player.
