“Whatever rank we are at after the main phase of the season, it doesn’t matter that much. We leave all the speculations aside. Our aim is to play another good match,” explained Lukasz Tralka ahead of the Saturday clash with Ruch Chorzow.
On Saturday 8 league matches will be played at the same time. It is the last round of the main phase of the season and the stakes are still high. There are still a couple of teams who can finish the phase as the leaders of the league table and many clubs are still fighting to play in Group A (also known as the Championship Group) instead of competing among the 8 worst teams (Group B, Relegation Group). Moreover, Lech’s final rank isn’t yet sure either. The team from Poznan can finish 3rd or 4th. Lech’s captain, Lukasz Tralka, believes that the final rank is not that important.
“Whatever rank we are at after the main phase of the season, it doesn’t matter that much. Our aim is to play another good match,” - emphasized Trałka.
Since all the matches of the 30th league round will begin at the same time, most teams will remain unsure of their final position in the table until the last game ends. When all of the matches finish, the schedule of the final phase of the season will be planned. Experts have been providing thorough analyses, but the players don’t pay attention to them. “I have seen so many analyses that I got confused. We are concentrated on Ruch only and other games which are played simultaneously don’t matter to us. We want to win on Saturday and if we do, everything will turn out the way it’s supposed to,” said Lech’s captain.
A lot of fans wonder whether the footballers follow the scores of the other matches played simultaneously. Tralka explained that most of them don’t. “I’ve been playing for 15 years already and I have never seen a footballer sitting on the bench with a phone in his hands because you can be punished for doing so. When you’re playing a match, other scores are of no importance to you. Every single team tries its best and I don’t expect it to be any different this time. We leave all the speculations aside until our game is our,” explained Lukasz Tralka.
