In the last sparing game of the preparations for the upcoming season Lech Poznań lost in an away game with Zagłębie Lubin 0:1. In the 84th minute Krzysztof Piątek scored the only goal.
Lech began the game with Zagłębie in a very similar squad as with Lechia Gdańsk. Most probably the first eleven to appear on the pitch in Tallinn will look exactly the same. The only change that took place was the one in the goal Jasmin Burić defended the way into the net for the whole 90 minutes and most likely he will be the no. 1 goalkeeper for the upcoming games.
Lech was the team that dominated since the first minute. The players of Mariusz Rumak were in possession of the ball most of the time, while their rivals kept running behind it and waiting for a counterattack. However, the advantage of Lech did not bring any results. Pawłowski had a great opportunity in the 12th minute but his header went above the bar. Although Zagłębie remained playing with their defense deep, they had two good chances to take the lead. First it was Burić who defended Woźniaks surprising shot and a few moments later the post stood on the way of the ball as Błąd sent it towards the goal. Lech had their best opportunity in the 32nd minute when Wołąkiewicz sent a great ball towards Hamalainen who being one-on-one with Forenc failed to beat the goalkeeper. The result at halftime remained 0:0.
The game did not change in the second half. Lech remained dominating while Zagłębie kept waiting for a chance to counterattack. In the 47th minute Pawłowski sent a great pass to Hamalainen but the Fins shot was too weak to cause any trouble to Forenc. The players from Lubin had their opportunity soon after when Cotra played an individual action which he ended with an accurate shot that was saved by Burić. In the 67th minute Hamalainen wasted yet another chance. The Finnish player did not use Kędzioras accurate center effectively and sent the ball above the crossbar. 9 minutes later Ubiparip placed the ball in the net but the linesman raised the flag and the goal was disallowed. 6 minutes before the final whistle the hosts scored a goal in a controversial situation. Trałka laid injured in the penalty area but Zagłębie did not stop the game. Kowalski-Haberek sent a precise ball to Krzysztof Piątek and the latter gave no chance to Burić. The Bosnian goalkeeper got frustrated with the situation and a small fight took place on the pitch. Lech did not manage to catch up and the result remained 1:0.
