Skorza's players have another very important match to play on Sunday. Pogon Szczecin is the team that will visit INEA Stadium. Most probably it will be Maciej Gostomski who will stand between the posts.
Surprisingly Gostomski is once again the players to defend Lech's goal. In the recent match against Lechia, the goalkeeper started the game at the bench. However, because of Buric's injury late into the game, the former player had to appear on the pitch. The 26 year-old marked his appearance with an outstanding intervention in the injury time and if it wasn't for him, Lech might have lost points in Gdansk. "I did my job. Until now I am not quite sure how I did it, but the most important thing is that I saved my team from losing a goal. Luck is also necessary," said Gostomski.
According to many experts, the match against Lechia was the most difficult of all the games left for Lech to play this season as the team from Poznan is yet to face Pogon Szczecin, Gornik Zabrze and Wisla Cracow. "Let's hope it's true. On the other hand each match is difficult and extremely important in the context of the championship. That is what the coach repeats to us all the time. The game with Lechia might have been the toughest that we had to play away from home, but we managed to win and add three valuable points to our account. Now we have to win with Pogon and then travel to Zabrze and do the same. It's good that we play those last three matches in such a short period of time. There is no time for over-thinking, we just do our job."
Pogon is said to be the weakest team competing in the champions group in the play-offs this season. Michniewicz's players have no chances to qualify for the Europa League, and therefore many people assume that the team from Szczecin will be giving away points. "Pogon is considered an easy opponent, but I assume that this isn't the way it is going to look in reality. Most probably a few young players will receive an opportunity to show their skills and they will do all they can to make a good impression. That is why we can't be sure of what to expect from this game," emphasized Gostomski.
Due to the recent wins the team from Poznan believe in themselves more and that can turn out to be the key in the upcoming matches. "That confidence has appeared within the team after the match we won in Warsaw against Legia. The good spirit had returned. There is no malcontent in the group and we all aim at the same thing," said Lech's goalkeeper. "No one will stop us this season. There is no one we should fear. We have won twice with Legia, once on their own ground. In addition, we've been winning all the matches we play at home. We are the leaders and it will be no news if I say that Lech is a very good team."
