On Tuesday afternoon Lech’s footballers began preparing for the last match of the season. 22 players joined the training session ahead of the clash with Jagiellonia Bialystok. The two teams will face each other on Sunday, at 18:00, in Bialystok.
On Tuesday, at 16:00, Lech’s players appeared at the stadium to begin a training micro-cycle which is meant to prepare them for the Sunday match against Jagiellonia. For the first half-an-hour the team trained in the gym and then they continued the session on one of the training pitches next to INEA Stadium. There were 3 goalkeepers and 19 players in total, among them Victor Gutierrez, Marcin Wasilewski, Pawel Tomczyk and Tymoteusz Puchacz.
However, there were also a couple of absences. Maciej Wilusz and Maciej Gajos trained individually due to recent injuries, but both of them are expected to join the rest of the squad soon. Elvis Kokalovic couldn’t train with his teammates either since he is still undergoing a rehabilitation following his surgery. Currently the player has individual sessions with Andrzej Kasprzak, the fitness coach.
There are 4 more training sessions planned before the team leaves. On Saturday the footballers will travel to Bialystok where on Sunday, at 18:00, they will play their last league match of the season.
