Maciej Skorza is now the Polish coach with the most trophies on his account. The 43 year-old leader of the team from Poznan is missing only the Polish Super Cup.
Lech's coach can be proud of his CV full of great achievements. During his career Skorza won the Polish Championship three times, once he triumphed in the Junior Polish Championships and he won the Polish Cup three times with the teams he had led. In addition, the coach of the team from Poznan even has the Ekstraklasa Cup on his account.
However, neither did he, nor Henning Berg, whom Skorza will face on Friday, had won the Polish Super Cup. For Lech's leader it will be the fifth time that he attempts to win the trophy, while the Norwegian coach has led his team in the Super Cup twice.
The fight for the Super Cup takes place during Lech's preparations for the Champions League qualifications. Skorza doesn't deny that for him and for the team the game in Sarajevo is the most important one, however it's the Super Cup that will be the ultimate test before Lech faces the team from Balkans. "We want to win the Super Cup, especially that we will play on our home ground, right in front of our fans. The match in Sarajevo is the priority, but we cannot ignore the game against Legia, because we do want to win it," said Lech's coach.
