In the 3rd round of PKO Ekstraklasa, Lech Poznań scored three goals against Śląsk Wrocław. However, the good performance in the offence was worth only a point as the match finished with a 3:3 draw.
The Saturday match was full of emotions and turning points. Lech managed to take the lead as early as in the 7th minute thanks to a strong and precise shot from Ishak. However, the players from Poznań couldn’t enjoy the lead for long as Śląsk replied with 2 goals within the following 9 minutes. First, Celeban beat Bednarek with a header on target, and then, 5 minutes later, Scalet placed the ball in the net from up close.
Those fans who thought the game was over were very much mistaken. In the 28th minute, Ramirez received a perfect pass from Ishak and the Spaniard scored an equalizer. 4 minutes later, the Swedish striker added a second goal to his account, this time following an assist from Tiba. Hence, it was Lech that left for halftime with a one-goal lead.
Still, three goals turned out to not be enough to win the match because very shortly after the referee resumed the play, Pich set the final score with a well-executed penalty. The hosts were awarded the set-piece following Puchacz’s foul on Musonda.
Lech had a few goal-scoring opportunities that could have helped them win three points but the lack of accuracy was an issue. Ishak was very close to getting a hattrick when he received a perfect cross from Sykora, however, the Swede’s shot stopped on the post. As a result, the two teams had to share points after an exhilarating match.
