On Monday Lech’s winger, Michał Skóraś received his first call-up for the Polish National Team. He was named a part of the squad who will face the Netherlands and Wales in Nations League games.
Czesław Michniewicz’s team has already started preparations for the upcoming World Cup. However, before they travel to Qatar, they still have a few matches to play, among them Nations League games against the Netherlands and Wales. First, the Polish players will face the Dutch squad on Thursday, September 22nd (8:45 pm), and then they will play against Wales three days later (September 25th, 8:45 pm).
Michał Skóraś found himself among the players who received a call-up from coach Michniewicz. The 22-year-old winger has performed impressively so far in the current campaign, both in the national and international arena – he already has 6 goals and 3 assists on his account. Over the past years, Skóraś represented Polish youth national teams numerous times, but this will be his first opportunity to debut for the senior squad.
Skóraś isn’t the only Lech Poznań homegrown player who received a call-up from coach Michniewicz. His former teammates Jan Bednarek, Bartosz Bereszyński, Tomasz Kędziora, Robert Gumny, Karol Linetty, and Jakub Kamiński are also a part of the national team squad.
