Lech's players have three days of training in Kepa already behind them. Coach Urban emphasizes his satisfaction with the work that has been done so far.
Shortly before leaving for the camp Lech's players trained twice a day at Bulgarska street. The camp hasn't been an easier so far since the squad has had two sessions per day. "The boys are working very hard. Surely, they feel exhausted. However, at a certain moment of the preparations to the season it is important to decrease the load of work and its intensity. Nevertheless, we haven’t reached that point yet," explained the coach.
The training staff prepares special exercises that enable to players to improve their technique, the tactics, but also the endurance ahead of a difficult season. "We try to include all those elements during the training sessions. A match day is no excuse and so we train ahead of a game too. Our aim is to exploit the time we have at the camp. The conditions here are great with the pitch at our disposal and the physical rejuvenation. The conditions provide us with more possibilities," highlighted coach Urban.
The coach is satisfied with the rivalry within his squad. Every training session is an opportunity to fight for a spot in the starting lineup. "I can see how determined and committed the players are, but this is how it looks every year during the pre-season. New players joined the squad and brought some fresh energy to the team. That only makes the rivalry greater. Everyone pays close attention to his direct competitor for a spot in the starting eleven, especially in the attack and the midfield where we have the most players," explained Jan Urban.
