Recognition for Cierzniak

According to both coaches, Cierzniak's performance was the key to Wisla's Saturday win. Although overjoyed with his team's success, coach Moskal emphasized that his players had some luck, too. Below are the full post-match comments of the two coaches.

We lost a goal fast due to a moment of inattention and lack of reaction for a long pass and that, unfortunately, set the match. Even though we dominated the game and had multiple goal attempts, Wisla knew how to defend successfully. Most of all, a big applause for Radoslaw Cierzniak who did a great job by saving every single shot.

We lacked focus. Despite putting all our efforts into attacking, we failed [to catch up]. I don't remember the last time when we had so many chances to score a goal, but if can't convert those into an actual goal, then there can be no discussion about a positive score.

Sometimes a players makes a mistakes, but the coach still gives him a second chance. At times the footballer uses this chance, but at times he doesn't. We will analyze the match carefully and then we will take any decisions.

Most of all, we are overjoyed with the win. It's always a pleasure to win, but even more today because although the stadium was far from full, the atmosphere was great. We've waited for a win for a long time and finally we did it. There were fragments of the match that we can be really satisfied with, but we cannot deny that we had some luck, as none of Lech's offensive actions ended in a goal. Finally, we converted a counterattack into a goal. We had such chances before and if we had used them, the match would be less hectic. Nonetheless, the game remained exhilarating till the very end and at last we gathered all three points, which is a reason to be happy.

I never praise individuals when speaking in public because the whole team stands behind them, but today I have to highlight Radek's and Rafal's performance. What Radek did today demands appreciation. These were important moments and the match ended the way it did only because we did not concede a goal. I want to thank my players wholeheartedly for doing a great job.

I believe that we can play even better. The upcoming games will show whether we're making progress, but in my opinion, we can be even better. There were moments tonight when Lech dominated and that cannot be ignored, however what matters is the score after the full 90 minutes.
