In the game of the 1/16 of the Polish Cup finals Lech Poznan won at home with Wisła Cracow 2:0. Szymon Pawłowski scored both goals.
Wisła couldnt avoid a loss having taken their reserve players to Poznan. Lech has been attacking since the first whistle and in the 26th second Sadajew tested Bieszczad but the new forward of Kolejorz had to be substituted a few minutes later because of an injury. Sadajew left the pitch but the hosts continued creating chances. Keita had two opportunities to score a goal within a minute but his first shot stopped on the crossbar and the second one was saved by the goalkeeper. The guests did not appear often on their opponents half of the pitch. The first time they crossed the half-line was in the 20th minute when Sarki was close to scoring a goal thanks to Gostomskis mistake but Wołąkiewicz stopped the Nigerian player successfully. A minute later Hamalainen was one-on-one with the goalkeeper but his shot was inaccurate. Lech succeeded attacking in the 38th minute when Guerrier fouled Lovrencsics and the referee pointed to the middle of the penalty area. However, Bieszczad stopped Jevtićs shot, saving his team from conceding a goal. Despite Lechs domination the result at halftime was a blank tie.
The game did not change in the second half but it became more difficult for the hosts to create chances. Thats why both Lovrencsics and Pawłowski tried individual attacks but their shots were either inaccurate or the goalkeeper intervened successfully. In 66th minute the result changed. Douglas, who has just come on the pitch, sent a centre from the corner kick and Pawłowski placed the ball in the net. 11 minutes later the winger ended his run with a strong flat shot which gave no chance to the goalkeeper, setting the final result to 2:0.
