Lech Poznan won in Belchatow with PGE GKS 2:1, and therefore became the league's leader for a short period of time. Muhamed Keita and Paulus Arajuuri scored the goals for Lech.
Since the beginning the match was played at a relatively high speed. The hosts had their first chance to take the lead in the 12th minute, but Piech had trouble directing the ball towards the net as one of his teammates stood on his way. A few minutes later Paulus Arajuuri sent a great header, but the hosts' goalkeeper intervened successfully. Lech had numerous free kicks, all of them causing trouble to PGE GKS, but neither resulting in a goal. In the 26th minute it was 1:0 for the team from Poznan. Hamalainen received a long pass from Douglas, he raced down the left flank and sent a flat cross into the penalty area. Muhamed Keita was unmarked, and therefore had no trouble placing the ball in the net. Having lost a goal, the hosts began pressing and attacking more intensely, however they couldn't find a way to equalize. On the other hand both Formella and Serafin had an opportunity to change the result, but it was either the hosts' goalkeeper, or the lack of accuracy that turned the chances into wasted ones.
At half time coach Zub decided for a change in the formation and he sent in the second striker - Slusarski. PGE GKS attacked, but their actions weren't successful. Lech created better chances, as Hamalainen and Douglas could have made it 2:0, but Zubas saved his team numerous times. Piech tried shooting from a distance too, however Gostomski did not have problems intervening successfully. The second half was full of inaccurate passes, and therefore neither of the teams dominated, nor scored. However, only until the 71st minute, because that's when Zub's players equalized. Gostomski did his best to save Piech's shot, but Lech's goalkeeper was helpless when the ball found Wronski who sent into an empty goal. The hosts were brought down to earth quickly, as 3 minutes later it was already 2:1 for the team from Poznan. Douglas used a free kick to send a precise center into the penalty area that Arajuuri turned into a goal with a header. In the last 15 minutes both teams tried attacking, but despite multiple chances, the result remained unchanged till the very end and Lech took all three points home.
