Szymon Pawlowski extended his contract with Lech Poznan for 3 years. The deal is going to last until June 2019.
"I am glad to inform that we are extending our deal. We have been talking a lot about it recently. The contract is going to last for another three years, since in the last three years Pawlowski played in over 100 matches for Lech. In half of those games the player has participated in the goals we scored. He is at the coachs disposal every season and that makes us very happy," emphasized Piotr Rutkowski, Lech's vice-chairmam.
The 29 year-old has been representing Lech since July 2013. During those years in Poznan, the footballer appeared in 113 matches, scored 21 goals and assisted 23 times. This season, like in the previous ones, Pawlowski is a regular member of the starting lineup. The footballer played in 34 out of the 38 matches Lech competed in this season. He even scored 5 times and assisted 3 times. "A lot has been said about Pawlowski being prone to injury, but this season he only missed 4 games. He is very committed and gives it all on the pitch which is why the fans value him so much," highlighted Rutkowski.
Szymon Pawlowski is equally excited about the new contract. "If both sides want the same, the agreement is easy to reach. I am glad about the new deal - it's good news for me. I feel great here at Lech. I wanted to extend the contract and win some more trophies with the club. I am still missing the Polish Cup trophy, I also want to play in Champions League and hope that I will I achieve it all in the upcoming three years," explained Lech's midfielder. "There is still a lot to win."
