Filip Marchwiński won PKO BP’s Youth Player of The Month award. Lech’s midfielder beat Ariel Mosór (Piast Gliwice) and Maik Nawrocki (Legia Warsaw) in the race for the title.
This season, the youth player status applies to all footballers born in the 21st century who have Polish citizenship. All players that meet these criteria are eligible to win the Youth Player of The Month award sponsored by PKO BP. The nominees and winners are selected based on statistics as well as behaviour and attitude on and off the pitch. This month, Filip Marchwiński was rewarded for his outstanding form. It’s the midfielder’s first such award and Lech’s second YPOM title this season. In November 2022, Filip Szymczak was named the best youth player in the Polish league.
