Linetty in the 'Media's Starting Line-up for Euro 2016'

Lech's midfielder, Karol Linetty was announced as a footballer of the media's anticipating starting line-up for Euro 2016. According to Press-Service Media Monitoring, Linetty left behind many great footballers who play in different international leagues.

Linetty's remarkable year 

Even though Linetty spent only 94 minutes on the pitch during this year's Euro 2016 qualifiers, since his very first appearance the midfielder aroused interest among the media. A proof of that are the 14 thousand articles about Linetty which have been published last year. 

According to Press-Service Media Monitoring, Linetty left behind many great Polish footballers playing in different international leagues, among them Wojciech Szczęsny, Łukasz Piszczek and Kamil Glik. Moreover, the media's starting line-up did not include Adam Nawałka's first-choice players - Kamil Grosicki and Maciej Rybus.

The previous year has been marked by successful achievements for Lech's midfielder. The footballer not only won the championship and got a chance to play on the international arena, but also fought in his national team shirt. In addition, the 21 year-old as the only Polish footballer has been recognised and appreciated by an Italian portal tuttomercatoweb.com and was listed as one of the 50 young players who, according to the editor, are awaiting great football career. 

Lewandowski as the definitive leader 

The most mediumistic Polish player is Robert Lewandowski, the former top goal scorer of the Polish Ekstraklasa. In year 2015 there have been 75 different media materials published or emitted about the Polish captain. It means that on average the Polish forward appeared in the media more than 200 times per day.

The reasearch conducted by Press-Service Media Monitoring was related with the Polish National Team footballers' appearance in the media in year 2015. The players that were analyzed in the reasearch played for Nawałka's team at least in one Euro qualifying match. The analysis included 1100 press editorials, 5 mln internet sources and 100 radio stations and TV channels.
