KKS Lech Poznań maintain their good form in the league. On Friday Lech thumped Widzew Łódź 4:0 and thus they stay the course of four wins at home and seven in general. Goals were scored by Możdżeń, Hamalainen, Ślusarski and Lovrencsics.
Lech approached the match without few key players. From the first whistle we could not observe on the turf Luis Henriquez, Kasper Hamalainen or Aleksander Tonew. It might be one of the reasons that the first half was under the level of usual performance of Lech. In the second minute of the game Trałka has his chance to score but a dangerous shot from Lechs midfielder was inaccurate. In 21st minute of the game Teodorczyk has his chance but he did not manage to score.
Coach Mariusz Rumak seeing the performance of his players in the first half, decided to make two substitutions. Hamalainen and Ślusarski appeared on the turf changing Linetty and Teodorczyk. Crowds started to root more intensely and with excellent atmosphere game immediately became more spectacular. With just 5 minutes after the break Ślusarski had a chance, but the goalkeeper from Widzew was on his place. The goal, though, was not long in coming, when ball from a corner found Możdżeń. Playing a very good game, this young midfielder skillfully latch onto a pass and fire just into the right corner of the goal. Only 10 minutes later Hamalainen scored a goal after an individual run and a situation one-to-one with goalie. First shot from Finnish international was to anaemic but by luck he had a second approach and after 60 minutes of the game Lech was winning 2:0. Two-goal lead completely dampened the ardor of Widzew, while Lech was eager for more. In 74 minute a pass from Wołąkiewicz brought an opportunity for Ślusarski and with a shot from the box gave no chances at all to Widzews goalie. It was still not enough for the team from Poznań and Lovrencsics managed to score in additional time.
