Lech Poznań - Śląsk Wrocław 2:1

Just as the coach Mariusz Rumak had predicted, the players of Lech quickly took over the initiative and soon enough their offensive action ended up in a goal. In the 12th minute Douglas sent a prefect cross into the penalty area and Hamalainen gave no chance to the goalkeeper with a header. Despite the domination of the hosts, the team from Wrocław managed to equalize. In the 28th minute Hateley sent a ball from a free kick into the penalty area and it was Paixao who managed to find it among the mess of the legs and placed it in the net. The next chance was created by Lech. In the 37th minute Kamiński was close to scoring but Kelemens intervention saved the team. 2 minutes later Lovrencsics tried surprising the opponents but his shot was slightly inaccurate and the result at half time remained 1:1.

The beginning of the second half looked similar to the image seen at end of the first 45 minutes but soon the hosts regained control and their rivals moved to the defense, waiting for an opportunity for a counter attack. Lech wasted a great chance in the 69th minute when unmarked Hamalainen decided for a shot but the ball flew above the crossbar. A minute later Teodorczyk had his opportunity to shine and this time he did not lack precision. The forward ran from the left wing to the middle of the pitch and placed the ball in the net with a massive shot. Śląsk was close to equalizing when Gostomski did not calculate well the parabola of the ball and it landed on Kokoszkas head but Linetty was securing the goal. In the end Lech had some counter attacks but none of them resulted in a goal and it were the hosts who got all three points.
