Lech Poznań - Śląsk Wrocław 0:3

Just right from the beginning the match was very even, mostly played in the middle of the field. However, the start was more optimistic for Lech because in the 2nd minute Ceesay hit into the goal but Kelemen managed to defend his hit. Śląsk made their dangerous first attack in the 13th minute. A quick counter was started by Kowalczyk who delivered a ball to Sobota. He had enough time to prepare a neat hit, however the ball missed the post by centimeters. In the 21st minute team from Wrocław was definitely more effective. Mila started a free kick very fast by playing it to the left side to completely unguarded Sobota.

He accurately centered and Diaz was faster than needlessly intervening in this situation Lech's goalkeeper Krzysztof Kotorowski.  Thanks to Kotorowski's mistake Diaz managed to score a header. In the 26th minute team from Poznań forced Kelemen to some effort between the posts. Drewniak shot from outside of the penalty area but sent the ball  just in the middle of the goal, opponent's goalie didn't have any problems with it. The visitors were rather unwilling to score another one in the first half and just a few futile actions in the first part was all that Lech could give. The 1st half is best mirrored by match stats dominated by fouls committed by both teams.

During halftime break coach Rumak tried to reinforce the strength of his team's attack and substituted Drewniak and Tonev by Bereszyński and Możdżeń. However, these two moves didn't bring much change and what's worse Śląsk struck two blows in just two minutes and knocked Lech down. In the 55th minute Sobota intercepted a ball and with a technical strike from 16 meters put the ball in the back of the net without a chance for Kotorowski to save it. Similar situation happened just 2 minutes later when Ćwielong hit the ball in the upper corner of the goal from 18 meters and scored a nice goal.

Lech should have scored in the 63rd minute. Bereszyński spotted Możdżeń in the penalty area. However, the latter lost one on one duel with Kelemen. Ślusarski got to that ball but unfortunately hitting it by his right foot sent the ball over the goal bar. Within just a few minutes Murawski and Możdżeń had their chances of shooting from a distance. The first shot was defended by Kelemen, the other one missed the goal  by inches. The away team could have scored more goals. In the 80th minute Kotorowski managed to defend a very dangerous header by Ćwielong and then with a bit of luck for the home team Kaźmierczak hit it on the post. It finished with a three nil win for the team from Wrocław.
