In attendance of almost 20 thousands fans Lech Poznań competing for the championship have lost at home against Podbeskidzie Bielsko-Biała 0:2. In first 5 minutes Bielsko-Biała developed a two good situations for a goal, but both, Wodecki and Chmiel were unable to turn them into a goal. Lech responded with a good action from Lovrencsics and his pass to Teodorczyk, but a shot from young forward was completely out of the target. After 20 minutes of the game, the visitors established their good play and scored for 0:1. After a not very fortunate intervention from Lechs goalkeeper Kotorowski and a not really good overhead kick by Podbeskidzies forward, the ball found the way to Pawela and his shot from a close distance gave a lead to Podbeskidzie team. The lead could be higher but luckily Wodecki and Chmiel have not scored after outplaying Lechs defenders, because Kotorowski was on his place. In next few minutes Lech had his chances to equalize. First Teodorczyk found himself in one-to-one situation but he failed to give a shot. Next Lovrencsics after a nice run on the right of penalty managed to shot but the ball hit a crossbar. What Lech could not manage to replace on a goal, Podbeskidzie did. Aways team forward Demjan readily coped with Lechs defensors and was stopped just inside the penalty area with a foul from Kędziora - young defender. Pawela replaced a penalty for a second goal for the away team.
In the second half tactic of visitors was to play counterattacks and not to lose any goal. Lech position attacks were definitely ineffective, so it could be said that Podbeskidzie controlled the result. Kasper Hamalainen tried his shotting but the goalie made his job properly. After that, Murawski also tried his luck by a spectacular shot from a long distance, but again goalie saved the away team. Additionally to three points loss and theoretical chances for a victory in the league, Lech lost for a few weeks his injured player. Karol Linetty suffered after a collision with Podbeskidzies goalkeeper and straight from the field was transported to the hospital by an ambulance. Lech lost the game and it means that Legia Warsaw can enjoy winning the championship title.
