Lech Poznań - Piast Gliwice 4:0

In the first round of T-Mobile Ekstraklasa Lech Poznań won at home with Piast Gliwice 4:0. Vojo Ubiparip scored a hattrick and Dawid Kownacki added one goal to his account.

The players of Lech came on the pitch wearing black bands on their shoulders in memoire Jacek Markowskis mother. Mariusz Rumaks team, irritated with the surprising loss in Tallinn, dominated the game since the first minute. In the 10th minute Kownacki had a great chance to score a goal but

his header flew above the crossbar. 4 minutes later Formella saw Keita in the penalty area but Cifuentes intervened successfully. In the 18th minute the Norwegian forward played a great individual action but his shot was slightly inaccurate. The team from Gliwice replied quickly with a dangerous offensive action but Burić was in the right place at the right time and Jurado did not manage to surprise the Bosnian goalkeeper. A minute later the team from Poznan took the lead. Henriquez sent a cross from the left flank and Vojo Ubiparip placed the ball in the net. In the 36th minute it was already 2:0. Lech played a great offensive action that ended with Henriquez sending a precise center into the penalty area and Kownacki scoring a goal with a header. Piast could have caught up just before halftime but Jurados header went above the crossbar.

Lech having a two-goal lead stopped attacking that intensively and the guests could hold onto the ball for longer. However, the first offensive action did not take place until the 57th minute. Thats when Jurado found himself in a one-on-one situation with Burić but once again the Bosnian goalkeeper turned to be better. The fans had to wait for Lech to create a goal-scoring opportunity until 80th minute when Jevtić precise shot from a free-kick was saved by Cifuentes. 4 minutes later the hosts scored their third goal. Trałka sent a precise ball to Ubiparip, the forward passed the goalkeeper in the penalty area and placed the ball in the net. The Serbian player added yet another goal to his account in the additional time. For Lech it was the third consecutive win at home with Piast in the ratio 4:0.
