Lech Poznan - Lechia Gdansk 0:0

In the 34th round of Ekstraklasa Lech Poznan drew at INEA Stadium with Lechia Gdank 0:0. It was the pre-last match of the season held at Bulgarska Street and Lech's fourth game during which neither side managed to place the ball in the net.

The first half was marked by Lech having numerous opportunities to score. Nonetheless, neither of those goal-scoring chances was as good as the one Lechia got in the 10th minute. Slawomir Peszko converted a free kick into an accurate shot at the goal, but luckily for Lech, Buric managed to stop the ball. The goalkeeper had to intervene again 15 minutes later when Peszko won a direct clash with Volkov and rushed into the penalty area.

Shortly afterwards, the guests were in trouble. Pawlowski received the ball on the left flank, moved towards the center of the pitch and fired a technical shot at the goal. However, slight lack of precision resulted in the ball stopping on the crossbar. The same player could have scored again a few minutes later when he got a good long ball from Lovrencsics, but not only did the linesman raise his flag, but the goalkeeper intervened successfully this time.

In addition, the hosts had a couple goal-scoring opportunities due to numerous corner and free kicks awarded to the team from Poznan. Most of those were converted into crosses by Lovrencsics. One of the centers sent from the corner of the pitch reached Arajuuri, who attempted to redirect the ball into the net, but hit the goalkeeper. It was one of Lech's two shots on target in the first half.

Nevertheless, when the referee resumed the play, it was Lechia that came closer to a goal. During one of Lechia's offensive actions Krasic was left unmarked, passed to Peszko, but unfortunately for the guests, the player missed the ball. A few minutes later the hosts began pressing more intensively. Gajos and Volkov both tried surprising the goalkeeper with a shot, but in both cases their attempts were blocked by the defenders.

An hour into the match Lech should had already been winning. Lovrencsics converted a corner kick into a cross, Volkov received the ball and sent it to Gajos, while the latter was one meter away from the goal. However, the goalkeeper predicted what the winger was about to do and managed to redirect the ball above the crossbar. 10 minutes later the other goalkeeper had to remain cautious when Peszko fired a shot at Lech's goal, nevertheless the attempt wasn't on target.

Lech dominated the match, but had no idea how to convert the advantage into a goal. Linetty, Jevtic and Kownacki all tried, but their attempts were either not on target, or successfully blocked by Lechia's defense. In the 86th minute Jozwiak got a chance to score when he recovered the ball purely by accident and tried lobbing the goalkeeper, but failed. Meanwhile, shortly before the final whistle, Kuswik found himself one-against-one with Buric, passed the goalkeeper and shot the ball at the net, but since Kaminski intervened successfully from the goal line, the final score remained a goalless draw.
