In the 33rd round of T-Mobile Ekstraklasa, Lech Poznań won at the INEA Stadium with Górnik Zabrze 2:1. Lovrencsics helped the hosts to gather three points with his two goals and Sobolewski got the one for the team from Zabrze.
Lech, as the favorite of the Saturday clash, began attacking since the first whistle and in the opening minute the hosts had a great opportunity to score. Claasen sent a long ball to Pawłowski but the winger in a one-on-one situation slightly missed. 4 minutes later it was already 1:0. On the left flank Pawłowski won with Górniks defense and passed the ball towards the middle where Lovrencsics was waiting. The Hungarian player placed the ball in the net with a precise shot. In the 35th minute Lech could have strengthened their lead. Pawłowski humiliated Szeweluchin and sent the ball to Linetty but the young midfielders lob was by far inaccurate. Not long after Pawłowski once again shone with a brilliant run but his shot passed the post. The wasted chances took revenge on the hosts in 44th minute when Sobolewskis precise shot from a distance left Gostomski helpless. Before the halftime both Pawłowski and Hamalainen had their opportunities but neither used them and the result remained 1:1.
The second half began for Lech just as well as the first one. In the 49th minute Lovrencsics ended his great run with a fantastic shot that was impossible to save for Steinbors. Górnik tried attacking but there wasnt much they could do to cause trouble to Gostomski. Lech remained in control and besides a few shots from a distance, the hosts did not have many chances themselves. The fans at Bułgarska were woken up in the 84th minute when Nakoulma shot from outside the penalty area but Gostomskis intervention allowed Lech to gather all three points.
