All the players at the disposal of the coach participated in the sparing match played against the I league team. Nicki Bille and the youngsters Marcin Wasielewski and Tomasz Dejewski were among the footballers that got a chance to perform. The team from Poznan had a two-goal advantage at half time thanks to Kownacki and Jevtic. Shortly after resuming the play, Pawlowski another the third and last goal of the match.
For Lech's players the friendly match was a chance to adapt to the Polish pitches. The team spent the preparations on Cyprus and in Spain. "You need to be able to switch to another type of a pitch, and therefore we decided to play the sparing match a few days ahead of the league game. We want the footballers to adjust the fields they are going to perform on," explained Jan Urban.
