Lech Poznan won the Saturday sparring match against Chrobry Glogow 2:0. Marcin Robak scored a goal in the first half, while Lukasz Tralka added another one shortly before the final whistle.
The guests were the first ones to cause problems to their rival’s defensive line. In the 7th minute, Machaj had a good opportunity to score, but he was blocked by Kostevych at the last moment. Three minutes later Lech responded with Makuszewski’s cross into the box and Radut’s shot, but the latter’s attempt turned out to be far off target.
In the 13th minute, Lech took the lead. Again, Makuszewki played a key role in the offensive action since he was the one fouled in the box. The referee awarded the hosts with a penalty kick and Robak converted it into a goal without any problems. A couple of minutes later Lech had another scoring chance. Bjelica’s player built an offensive action started by their own box. Kostevych sent a cross into Chrobry’s penalty area and Bille, who received the ball, was left one-on-one with the keeper. However, the defenders’ pressure forced the Dane to fire a shot that wasn’t on target. Meanwhile, in the 33rd minute, the guests got an opportunity to equalize. Wojciechowki was the one to shoot at Lech’s goal, but he was blocked by Nielsen at the last moment.
In the second half, Chrobry was in possession of the ball for a majority of the time and they built multiple offensive actions. However, Lech’s defensive line was performing very well and, therefore, the guests struggled to equalize. On the other end of the pitch, Makuszewski was causing problems to Chrobry’s defenders. In the 57th minute he dribbled his way into the box and passed to Bille who failed to kick the ball and the pass was recovered by Chrobry’s players. After 62 minutes, the hosts returned to a 4-3-3 formation. Robak remained on the pitch and he was the footballer who played most further up the field.
Pawlowski, Majewski and Jevtic came on the pitch and they instantly forced Chrobry’s defenders to work a bit harder. The trio led an offensive action together which Jevtic decided to finish off with a shot, however, not on target. A moment later Robak fired a shot from outside the box, but this time the keeper intervened without an error. Chrobry was determined to equalize, but whenever they reached Lech’s box, they lacked accuracy that would help them place the ball in the net.
In the 80th minute, Bonecki decided to shoot from outside the box and although Buric was surprised by the attempt, the ball did not roll into the back of the net. Jevtic responded with a shot of his own, but he also failed to place the ball in the goal. A couple of minutes later, the Swiss footballer’s attempt stopped on the crossbar. Despite all those shots off target, Lech finally managed to score the second goal. In the 96th minute, Robak raced into the box and passed to Tralka who placed the ball in the back of the net without problems, setting the final score to 2:0.
