The last week has been the time for the National Team groupings. Some of the Lech Poznań players have been called to play for their countries. Drewniak and Kamiński joined the youth teams while Hamalainen, Claasen and Teodorczyk appeared in the games of the A National Teams.
Szymon Drewniak has been called for the Polish U-21 National Team. The midfielder of Lech appeared for 45 minutes in both the game with Switzerland (won 4:0), and Germany (lost 0:1). Marcin Kamiński overall played 180 minutes in the game of the A Team of Poland and in the game of the Youth National Team. The defender and his teammates first faced Slovakia in the friendly (lost 0:2) and then Greece in the qualifications for the European Championships (won 3:1). In the friendly game Finland v Wales (tie 1:1) Hamalainen appeared during the 2nd half. Meanwhile the Republic of South Africa faced the current World and European Champions: Spain. In the won game (1:0) Daylon Claasen played for the first 45 minutes. Called up for the Polish National Team, Łukasz Teodorczyk also got a chance to play for his country. The forward of Lech replaced Robert Lewandowski in the 59th minute in the game with Ireland that took place in Poznań.
