Lech completes the fourth transfer

Maciej Makuszewski joined Lech Poznan on a year-long loan. The club from Poznan has now the priority on the buyout of the footballer. "I hope Makuszewski will not only shine with his assists, but will also add goals to our account," said Karol Klimczak, the chairman of the club.

The 26 year-old spent the last 6 months in the Portuguese club named Vitoria Setubal. Before that, the footballer represented Lechia Gdansk, Terek Grozny and Jagiellonia. "We are well aware of the player's capabilities since we have already been observing him when he played for Jagiellonia. Our recent transfers aren't coincidental - the footballers we bring have been watched by us closely for a long time. We know what Makuszewski's strengths are. He is a dynamic player and we hope he will shine here at Lech," explained the chairman.

Makuszewski is a winger that can play both, on the left, and the right flank. The footballer can also be placed behind the forward. He has become a part of the team from Poznan on a year-long loan. "We want to see how he will perform at our club. We have the priority when it comes to the buyout, which is a great advantage. We are rejoiced that Makuszewski is a Pole since nationality plays an important role at our club. Nevertheless, it is impossible to bring only Polish footballers for all positions in the squad. However, we have managed to find a Polish winger, which is a success," emphasized Klimczak.

The player seems excited about the new deal as well. "Lech trusted me and now I have to pay back with gratitude and good performance. I want to fight for the most important trophies. I know that the recent season hasn't been a successful one and I see all the changes that have been made since then. I also noticed that the players that stayed at the club will want to prove that the can still play at the highest level," said Makuszewski, shortly after signing the contract.

The winger is the fourth new player to join Lech before the upcoming season. Lasse Nielsen, Matus Putnocky and Radoslaw Majewski have already been signed by the club this summer.
