The Polish Champion were left with a bitter sweet feeling after yesterday's match with Ruch. The team from Poznan managed to catch up despite losing 0:2, but in the closing minutes of the game Lech's players had chances to score the third goal. "I am not satisfied with the result simply because I know we could have won that match. I know we have managed to catch up, which is positive find to note down. Ruch came here with an aim to score a goal early in the game and then to go back and focus on defending its goal. That made it problematic for us to create goal-scoring opportunities," explained Lukasz Tralka.
However, even though the team won a single point only, Lech's captain already sees progress. "We have to focus on the fact that we have managed to draw and not cry saying we didn't make it yet again. That is not the way to do it, we need optimism," emphasized the captain, adding, "when you lose a goal as early as in the first minute it is hard to beautiful football, because all youre focused on is the equalizing goal. The recent matches were failures - we conceded many goals, lost those goals in the opening minutes, and therefore it was hard to play with the attitude that it's nothing. We are aware that we might not get into the top 8. We have so little points that it's hard to even think about the fourth of fifth place. Nonetheless, we know exactly where we are right now and why we are here, and we also know that we have to find a way out. For now we have to start with a win."
In a week's time Lech will face Legia Warsaw. However, for now Lech's players are focused on the Thursday match with Fiorentina. "All I am focused on is the Europa League game that we are going to play on Thursday. We will face a team that is much better than we are. We advanced to the group phase to play against teams like Fiorentina and get the most of those clashes. When it comes to Legia, this season has already shown that nothing is impossible," concluded Tralka.
