Górnik Zabrze - Lech Poznań 0:3

Lech did not begin the game with such a high tempo as the previous week but since the beginning the players of Mariusz Rumak controlled the match. However, for the first 30 minutes they guests couldnt cause much trouble to their opponents. In the 30th minute Górniks players, Łuczak and Olkowski created a great chance and the latter tried surprising Kotorowski but the goalkeeper intervened. A minute later the hosts conceded a goal. Lovrencsics sent a flat pass into the penalty area, the ball found Teodorczyk and the forward placed it in the net from a close distance. Lech kept on going and 3 minutes later it was 2:0. Kędziora who came on the pitch just a few minutes earlier sent a precise cross right in the head of Hamalainen who beat the goalkeeper. In the 36th minute the hosts had their opportunity. Madej easily beat Możdżeń on the left flank and sent the ball into the penalty area but Iwans header went past the post. In the 38th minute Koszniks volley missed the crossbar by centimeters. 2 minutes before the halftime Lovrencsics created a chance for Teodorczyk but the forward waited too long and at last his shot was blocked.

The second half began fantastically for the guests. In the 51st minute the hosts stopped running, mistaken by a whistle coming from the stands but the players of Lech continued the action Teodorczyk sent a long ball to Hamalainen who placed it in the net. 4 minutes later Górnik could have decreased the losses. Możdżeń, when trying to clear the ball, hit his own hand and the referee had to point to the middle of the penalty area. However, Iwan missed and the guests remained with a three-goal lead. In the 66th minute the team from Zabrze had a great opportunity but Kotorowski saved the shot of Zachara. Lechs goalkeeper turned out to be a hero in the 79th minute when his intervention stopped Lech form conceding a goal. Kotorowskis great form allowed the team to end the match with a win and a clear account for the first time since 8 games. In the 84th minute it could have been 4:0 when Kasprzik sent a wrong pass and Trałka created an opportunity for Kownacki but the young forward lost a one-on-one with the goalkeeper. Lovrencsics had a similar chance but Kasprziks intervention made the result remain 0:3.
