Górnik Zabrze - Lech Poznań

The teams were forced to play in tiring conditions with temperature rising above 30 Celsius degrees. Lech managed to adapt to the weather quicker and in the 5th minute the guests could have taken the lead. Pawłowski sent a precise cross from the right flank and Teodorczyk headed it in the direction of the goal but Steinbors intervened. In the 19th minute the last seasons top goal scorer of Lech received a long ball from Arajuuri, dribbled past the defenders and placed it in the net with a flat shot. The forward dedicated the goal to the physiotherapist Marcin Lisa who helped him heal the recent injury. Having taken the lead, the guests stopped attacking that intensively and the game became more balanced. In the 23rd minute the players of Górnik had a great opportunity to equalize. Augustyn received a great ball but his header flew above the crossbar. For the next 15 minutes the fans did not see an exciting play but they were recompensed with a naked fan entering the pitch. For the hosts to have another chance they had to wait till the 37th minute when Sobolewskis shot stopped on his teammate, Zachara. Lech could have changed the result in their favor once again before halftime but Teodorczyk waited too long and at last his shot did not cause any trouble to the defence of Górnik.

The beginning of the second half looked similar to the first quarter of the game, however it were the hosts who dominated the game. Górnik couldnt cause much trouble to Lech but they were in possession of the ball. In the 58th minute the team from Zabrze equalized. Kosznik sent a center from the left flank and Zachara directed the ball in the net. The guests remained attacking and 3 minutes later they should have taken the lead. Jeż received a precise pass from Gergel and he sent the ball next to the post. Lech created their chance in the 68th minunte when the ball accidentally found Lovrencsics, however the Hungarian players shot was inaccurate. In the 79th minute the hosts had yet another opportunity. This time Burić had to intervene after Gergel sent a volley in the direction of Lechs goal. 2 minutes before the final whistle Pawłowski played a great individual action but Steinbors save decided that at last the teams had to share the points.
