Formella joins Arka on loan
Dariusz Formella is going to compete for Arka Gdynia in the upcoming spring round. On Tuesday both clubs reached an agreement on the winger’s loan.
This season Dariusz Formella appeared in 11 league matches. In the clash with Piast Gliwice the winger scored a goal. The footballer also added 2 goals to his account in the Super Cup match against Legia Warsaw. “We have decided to send Formella on loan because we believe he needs to play regularly. He competed for Arka before, he knows the club and did well in Gdynia before, therefore we thought that a loan would benefit Formella,” said Piotr Rutkowski, Lech’s vice-chairman.
Last season Formella also spent the spring round on loan in Arka. In the club from Gdynia the winger appeared in 13 first-league games. He scored 6 goals and added 4 assists to his account in the meantime. The winger felt great in Arka and it’s no coincidence that he joined the same club again. “I remember Formella’s games in Arka really well. He played a key role in the team and he helped the club advance to Ekstraklasa. We hope Formella will improve his form in Arka again, and that he will return even stronger,” explained the vice-chairman.
Dariusz Formella has 98 appearances for Lech Poznan on his account so far. He scored 10 goals and assisted 4 times. Together with his teammates from Poznan, the player won the Polish Championship in season 2014/15 and triumphed in Super Cup twice.
