All Lech players are in excellent moods ahead of the Sunday game with Jagiellonia Bialystok. The reason for that is the recent win against Legia Warsaw which won't be easily forgotten.
At the kick-off of the T-Mobile Ekstraklasa play-offs Lech was placed second with a one-point loss to Legia. The recent match played in Warsaw resulted in the change of the leader, and therefore Lech no longer has to count on other teams. No wonder Lech's players are in such good moods.
"The atmosphere in the dressing room is excellent. We won a very important match in Warsaw. Now we are placed first and everything is up to us," said Jasmin Buric. "All we have to do now is keep our feet on the ground and remain focused, and all the rest will follow. I hope that we take advantage of the point difference between us and Legia, and in a few weeks' time we will celebrate the championship together with the fans."
However, to achieve the aim the team has to collect points in all the upcoming matches. On Sunday Lech will face Jagiellonia Bialystok at INEA Stadium. The players led by Probierz have achieved great results when playing away from home and the matches with Legia and Slask are a proof of that. Therefore, the team from Bialystok won't give away the points without a fight.
"At this stage of the league there are no easy matches. In addition, Jagiellonia is one of the top Polish teams. They are well-known for their great counterattacks and many teams have witnessed it first-hand. However, I think we are able to stop them," said Lech's goalkeeper. "Jagiellonia also plays very well in the defense and the small number of conceded goals in the away games is proof of that. I do believe though that we are capable of forcing through their defense line to find a way into the net."
